Meet the 2010-11 Fellows
The 2010-11 Malave Fellows were selected through a nominations process that included requests for nominations that were sent all CUNY College Presidents and key CUNY-wide program leaders as well as an open application process. We received hundreds of nominations and applications, interviewed 60 candidates individually and in groups, and selected 25 extraordinary student leaders for this year's cohort. For the next cohort (2011-12), we will again request nominations from the CUNY College Presidents and there will also be an open application process for any CUNY student.
The current Malave Fellows represent 17 CUNY Colleges, 20 majors, all five Boroughs of NYC, and numerous student organizations including student governments and USS. The Fellows are a beautiful reflection of the diversity of CUNY, and have demonstrated leadership and advocacy on their campuses, across CUNY, and in their communities on a wide array of issues.
