Program orientation for the newly selected 2010-11 Malave Fellows. This two day experience will provide program details and officially kick-off the program with a highly interactive retreat.

The Malave team and Fellows will continue the tradition of volunteering our time on 9/11 to show our respect and to keep the memories of those who were lost alive through our service.

CUNY Ambassadors: Intro Workshop

Join the CUNY Ambassadors! Training is open to all CUNY students interested in improving their advocacy skills and increasing their political acumen. There are two CUNY Ambassador tracks, and the Introductory Workshop is the first step for both. The tracks are the
CUNY Alumni Legislators Project and
The Advocacy Project.
The
Alumni Legislators Project provides opportunities for CUNY Ambassadors to meet regularly with NY State Legislators in order to brief them on CUNY and advocate for issues of concern to CUNY students.
The Advocacy Project track provides students the opportunity to work with Malave staff to develop their own campaign projects advocating for communities or on issues that they care about.
The Intro Workshop is required for both tracks of the CUNY Ambassadors Program.

The Fundraising Workshop

The Fundraising Workshop will be facilitated by Toby Newman, and provide students the opportunity to learn how to raise money for their service projects, advocacy efforts, and organizations.

The Annual Fellows Retreat provides an overnight experience designed to challenge the Fellows, as individuals and as a cohort. The retreat is highly interactive, and includes a series of intense workshops, dialogues, and opportunities for Fellows to interact with their peers, alumni, and special guests.
